Problem
Todd always did well in Mathematics in high school, but found
that concentrating his area of study around math was leaving
him bored and exhausted. His parents were concerned that he
would leave school rather than continue in this line. They
arranged for Todd to take the JVIS.
JVIS
Results
Todd's high scores on Social Science, Human Relations
Management, and Professional Advising showed
an interest in a more people-oriented field than was reflected
in his course load. His high score on Interpersonal Confidence
showed the need for him to work with people rather than numbers.
Solution
Todd switched his major to the area of psychology. This made
use of both his interest in the Social Sciences and his mathematical
ability for the statistics part of the program. His parents
were pleased to see his motivation and drive increase.
